Andy,

"Happy New Year!" —everybody.

I had a good one. Looking back on the year, I decided that it was one of my best yet. The night before the 1st went well too, mostly because I didn't put too much weight on it to be some monumental occasion of partying like it's 1999. Went to Mexico during the day, rode my bike around San Diego for about 8 hours by myself, went to a low-key party under some hotel downtown then rode home content. It was like any other day off, except there were a lot more drunk people getting in the way of my black and red chariot than usual. Attached is a photo of some of these people. I found it in a tree.

I've been trying to talk a 52 year old man into buying himself his first skateboard. Here's a snipit from his most recent response:

"I do stuff with a soft landing. Sk8bords are too unforgiving. As much as I enjoy ballroom dancing and see the parallel, a mistake on concrete is serious."

A good point.
