Subject: Piss Bottle Premonition?
Hey,
One more thing about that wreck Sunday in Sweden: going through the pictures that were taken before we did our 70 mph skid on our side along the freeway, I found this one shot of me at the last stop for gas we made before the crash. Tour boss David had found the two bottles I had been using to piss in under the bench he was sitting on and J asked me to get rid of them, saying if "we rolled the van," the marshall amp we were carrying inside the passenger compartment w/us (next to me) would get showered if the bottles ruptured. The Euros are big on recycling, so there was a dumper for paper and one for plastic at the station. I couldn't decide which bin deserved such a donate but then saw a container for very toxic waste like car batteries and judged this one appropriate and disposed of them there. Sure enough, the amp was saved from such an anointing. Did J have a premonition of what was to be and did the right thing? It was so stuffy in the van for me, w/no opening windows by me and that is why I'm shirtless, sockless and shoeless. I had to climb back into the wreck after the crash and fish out my Levi jacket and Chuck Taylors. For a while it was just one shoe 'til another mission inside had me find the other one under much glass and the amma doll. I pulled a piece of glass out of my foot, got the other shoe on, put the amma doll in my clothes bag and climbed out of the van one last time before getting into the ambulance.

>> Bend is back from a week in the Netherlands helping set up and inaugurate THIS IS THE FLOW at De Vleeshal in Middelburg. We'll try to post some photos and such in the next few days. In the mean time, check the Girl board series that came out of it. Available in the fall this year from the
Girl Skateboard Company.

>> Bass master, Mike Watt happened to be on tour in Sweden at the same time the Girl Art Dump was in Holland -- who knew? Mike was touring with J Mascis and the Fog when some Swedish road hog forced their tour van into and overcorrecting, highspeed swerve of avoidance, followed by a rollover. Luckily, all were fine aside from minor stuff. They were well taken care of by the local hospital folks, but their German shows had to be scrapped. Check these pics from Watt's digital. Thanks for keeping in touch Mike, hang on St. Christopher.

>> Speaking of the Fog, we heard skate and art creator, Neil Blender is working on the art for their next (first?) single. Note to all: Neil Blender never stopped.
