>> Bend Consumption Machine (that's our store) news:

Spun #5 is now sold out again. Maybe more soon.

Milk's "Jason's Song" CD from Stacks / Ruby Recordings is now available in our store. Five songs, five Quicktime videos (including Jason's part from Video Days). Check the Milk website for details.

The Zincs "Moth and Marriage" CD is now $10. We're a little disappointed to not have sold any of these, as Bend believes this is one of the best recordings of 2001 (Ohiogold). Seriously.

The Milk and Zincs CDs are available as a package. both for $15 -- that's a $5 savings, people. Lunch money.

The Bend Given Nicknames are on SALE!! Yes, we're feeling especially clairvoyant and inspired. You need a nickname, we'll give you one for ONLY $5.50. Limited time only.

>> That's enough. Don't forget about the "Words" show in San Pedro this Sunday (scroll down for details). See you next week.

THEN 6/26/02

>> The long awaited Milk CD "Jason's Song" is now available. You can buy them online at Crailtap.com or the Stacks Store. Crail is offering the CD with a Milk tee for $25 -- not a bad deal.
"
The Knife Song" is also showing up on the Jackass movie (see below) sountrack CD and in the film itself... did we say "film." Our apologies. We meant to say, "celluloid atrocity."

THEN 6/25/02

>> Art fart. There's a group show, "WORDS," happening in San Pedro, California that includes the likes of Rob Abeyta, his sister Edith Abeyta, Carol Es, Andy Jenkins and a couple of others. You can either show up at the reception on Sunday, June 30th between 2-4pm, or go to the Artjax website and see the pieces. Bend suggests you go to the show at Angels Gate, and bring your kites to fly near the Korean Bell afterwards -- a beautiful view of the LA harbor where it spills into the Pacific.

The show is being exhibited through July 21st at the Angels Gate Cultural Center, Gallery G, 3601 S. Gaffey Street, San Pedro. Call them at 310-519-0936 (110 south to its end, left on Gaffey Street to 36th, right into Angels Gate Park, another right uphill to the galleries) for detailed directions, or just log onto Mapquest. See you there -- this is Bend's hometown, afterall.

THEN 6/21/02

>> Oh shit, it's happening again... this time in theaters.

THEN 6/20/02

>> Guess who reads Bend Press? Yeah, that's a copy of Bend project #019, "Good Night"in her hands. Photo by Porous Walker...

THEN 6/18/02

>> If you can't afford a Bend or Jenkins original (God knows they're so damned over-priced), check this out : Crail Tap is selling the Jenkins/Bend designed skate deck made for Girl's Rick Howard. It's from the Flow II Series which was part of the Holland "This is the Flow" exhibition. $30. Can't beat that. And the original run was LIMITED -- only 1,500 printed! You don't like the Bend/Jenkins work? Then go for the Rob Abeyta, Andy Mueller or Michael Leon designed Flow II boards -- AT THE SAME LOW PRICE! Crail Tap can't GIVE the stuff away...

>> Even more art shows are going down... can you believe it?

>> Another Bend Nickname has been purchased (check the Bend store) from the original list of 10. Today's Diurnal Drawing contributor (in a collaboration with Elephont's Don Pendleton), Mark Penxa is short $7 and tall a new moniker : THE ZIPPER. Thank you, Mark, ah, The Zipper...

>> This week's cover boy, Chip Morton (remember Limpies?) is showing his photos here starting June 25th : Red's Coffeshop and Gallery, 1027 Rosecrans, Point Loma, CA (619)523-5540.

THEN 6/14/02

>>There are lots of art shows happening. Go to the other sites to find out about them, I'm tired.

>> Rob Abeyta Jr. interview up on Luxuro. Insightfulness from a real talent.

THEN 6/04/02

>> Little Engine's #3 is now available at TNI. Did we already mention that? Speaking of LE, its designer, Chris Pew, sent Bend a copy of a zine, "The Morphing of Manifold Dox Notebook," he created for an art show he exhibited in San Francisco recently. Very very nice. Not sure if he still has copies, but we suggest emailing him at Capsule9.

>> URL name of the month : PATHETICA.NET. Talented photographer, art brain, skater, food eater, Dan Estabrook out of Brooklyn is responsible.
