Josh Beckett is an Angel Killer. That makes him evil.

A simple perspective on a complex problem. Creates quite an impact. Miniature Earth.

The Beautiful Losers docu is going to hit pretty soon. Check a trailer here.

Follow the baseball post-season through the eyes of a hardcore Cub fan who happens to do really nice drawings. "I'm trying to figure out why I hate the Diamondbacks." Cubby Blue.

Church of Choppers. Not much info, but some nice bikes.

Just got back from Savannah, Georgia, where an old, good friend was married over the weekend. Beautiful wedding, great place. Congratulations Jeff and Laura, we love you. Check Share The Air for a few photos.

To win, Vlad and GA need to beat the Green Monster into submission. Lackey, Escobar and Weaver must pitch high I.Q. baseballs, and all the young guns have to rise to the occasion. Speyer, Oliver, Shields, K-Rod, et al... please just build a wall in front of homeplate. No choking this year. But what do I know? Just win, Scioscia.

Please.

Mark Eckó is giving us all a chance to have a say in baseball/sports history. Pretty interesting "project" — Vote756.com.

Another Mark, Penxa, has posted a preview of a new drawing series; "Stealing Signs — Deadball Era Baseball — Memories From My Past Life; 1927." Eventually the set will have 100 drawings.

Check Hecox's visual blog over at Arkitip. I never get tired of looking at Evan's work... which makes his new hardcover book, Urban Abstract a must-have.

Season four of Art In The Twenty-First Century (Art:21) hits this October. If you haven't seen any of these shows on PBS, you can get them on DVD now. Very inspiring stuff. I especially liked the Richard Serra piece (also, see MoMA on YouTube).

I posted about this on the Art Dump site, but it's worth repeating here. Accidentally beautiful billboards in India. Recycled and utilitarian, yet somehow they capture something I've been trying to communicate with my work for years. I'd love to have one of these as a wall in my house... but the idea of taking it out of its natural context changes it. Maybe it becomes too precious, too pretentious?

Guess who's on top of the ESPN MLB American League Power Rankings this week? No surprise to me.

I was digging around in an old harddrive and found this (it's a gif, give it a few seconds to load). The journal was designed and printed by Michael Leon of Commonwealth Stacks more than a few years back (2001?). These are a selection of drawings from Emmet's journal at the time. I believe he was between 4 and 5.

Skate Mag artist and blogger, Todd Bratrud, has drawings showing up in SF at the Fifty24SF Gallery. Check out more of Todd's work at Burlesque Design of North America.

I so happy to be back at work after three days of 100 degree plus temps. Older houses in SoCal don't have air-conditioning or any kind of insulation. I dreamt of work all weekend... Megan keeps this place nicely air-conditioned (thanks you so much, Megan — I will never take the cool air circulating at Girl for granted again). I'm here, cool, and ready for an ass-kicking week.

I hope the temps are better in your area. Stay cool.

A tee I did for Mueller's Quiet Life 10 year anniversary is available online over at KrudMart. I like this one — "Trouble Spot."

A bunch of new tees over at Monster Children as well. Check them out.
