Most of the time it was Mark Lewman on guitar, Spike Jonze on guitar/vocals, Andy Jenkins on bass/vocals and either Eli or Eric Bonerz on drums. Sometime in 1993 they went into a swank recording studio (somebody knew someone) in the Valley and cut 4 songs in the same room that Alice Coltrane had recorded in the night before. A few weeks later they found themselves playing their first gig -- at the Troubadour in Los Angeles opening for Free Kitten (Kim Gordon's project), Thurston Moore, Dos (Mike Watt and Kira's double bass thing) and AdRock's punk band -- what were they called?
