| back Andy Kaufman Pizza. Ordered a pizza. Medium, tomato, onion. With a Coke. Yes, only one. House, not apartment. 30 minutes, fine. I check my wallet just to make sure. Cool. I look outside. Real dark. The door buzzer is broken, but people push it anyway... So I unlock the door. Sit down with the TV. Cuuaaaaahhh (The choking sound of the broken buzzer) I open the door. Hey, you must have seen me coming, turning your light on for me like that. Thanks, heh, heh. Its a motion sensor light. How much? $10.50. Thats cheap... and these are good pizzas. I just came back to work for Charliedelivered for another place for a little whilebut their pizzas were too damn expensive and no good at all. No good. Charlie is a great guy... Hey is that Elvis on in there? No, well sort of... its Andy Kaufman. Oh yeah, Latka Gravis from Taxi. What is it then some sort of ah, ah... what do you call that? Ahhh... TRIBUTE? Yeah, a tribute. Here; $12.00. He looks into the open door, lets my money drop into his hand. Wow, wish I could come in and see it. He leans into the open door but hesitates, unsure if hes crossed some sort of customer relations boundary. We look at each other. Finally, he turns away and walks towards his running car, only to turn back again, pocketing the 6 quarters in tips... Really wish I could see that... 9/2/95 |
