backforthmenu Decision. A man goes to get his Pontiac Sunbird smog-checked at the Arco on 7th and Weymouth. The mechanic cannot seem to open the hood. He tries everything without resorting to something that may damage the car. Time passes. Customers in line begin the get anxious. The man feels the tension from behind and decides to give up. He drives away. Thirty minutes later the man is back and there is a ragged hole jig-sawed into the hood of his Sunbird. It opens now. He fails the test. 8/17/95
