Karmic Baggage.
Hey Hugh,
I had a dream in which I was Kevin Bacon’s roommate and he was a defense attorney for a big media trial. I must have been a journalist because I had concocted a theory simply to try and extract information from him about the trial.
It went like this: Public servants such as defense lawyers, priests, psychologists, hairdressers, etc., accumulate what I call “karmic baggage”—from listening to the deep thoughts and babblings of their clients all day long. This karmic baggage weighs heavy on the “carrier.” So, as I told Kevin, the carrier must relay these mostly confidential yarns to what I call a “ground”—in this case, me—in order to lift the accumulating weight from their own spirits.
He wasn’t buying it.
